Integrative Restoration or iRest® for short is a powerfully healing type of meditation. Both ancient and modern, it is a Westernized, evidence-based version of the ancient practice of yoga nidra. It was created by Richard Miller, a clinical psychologist, and refined over the last 40 years. Most people find iRest easier than other types of meditation. It is also scientifically-proven effective.
iRest brings immediate benefits of deep relaxation and stress relief along with myriad long-term benefits. It can be practiced sitting or lying down (no yoga postures are involved) and for anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour or more. iRest can be practiced as either a guided or self-guided meditation that can be used simply to de-stress or as a powerful tool for self-inquiry and personal growth.
Robert Rosborough is a certified iRest teacher and former attorney turned mediator (and meditator) who created Insight iRest to bring the benefits of iRest to individuals and organizations. He teaches classes to corporations and groups and works with individuals who are seeking more personalized instruction or the benefits of a one-on-one practice.
